IPEMA’s Recommendations on Making Playgrounds Safer

IPEMA and Voice of Play highlighted five key playground safety questions to consider as we get ready to return to our local playgrounds and enjoying outdoor free play. The questions outlined some often-overlooked areas of playground safety that parents, teachers and caregivers should consider for safer playground play. Is the playground age appropriate? Is the playground surface safer? Is the playground equipment safer? Is the playground’s surrounding environment safer? Is the playground well maintained?
