IPEMA and the Voice of Play Help to ‘Reboot Play’
April 6, 2016Move Over Kids, This is an Adult Playground
May 4, 2016The International Play Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) and the Voice of Play invite you to join in the conversation around National Playground Safety Week, taking place Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29. This last week in April is a time to focus on children’s safety during free play, as well as show appreciation for all those who work hard to keep playgrounds as safe as possible.
The National Program for Playground Safety (NPPS), organizer of National Playground Safety Week, seeks to empower communities to create safe, inclusive and high-quality play areas for children. This organization has several resources and suggestions to get involved— not just during National Playground Safety Week, but every day of the year. IPEMA and the Voice of Play take great pride in supporting the cause and being an advocate for children’s free play.
To celebrate, we will be sharing research, facts and educational materials about helping to increase safety on the playground. Tips and information can be found on the Voice of Play website, as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages. Posts surrounding National Playground Safety Week will include the hashtag #SafePlay16, so be sure to join in the conversation and help build momentum for play!
