Express Yourself—With Play!
September 6, 2019Play in a Winter Wonderland
December 12, 2019October has arrived, and Halloween is right around the corner. Halloween encourages children to unleash their sense of play when they dress up as their favorite characters and act out who they want to be for the day.
Encourage your child to get moving this Halloween season. Whether it’s walking around the neighborhood for trick-or-treating, trekking out to a haunted hayride, or picking pumpkins in a pumpkin patch, let your children take advantage of everything October has to offer—while they get their regular doses of play.
We’ve talked about the importance of expressing yourself with play before, and our survey highlights parents’ attitudes on the benefits of play to children—including cognitive, physical, social and emotional benefits.
Let your children unleash the free spirit of play by building piles of leaves and jumping in them. They can even pretend that the jungle gym at the park is a haunted house—let their imaginations run wild!
With so many reasons to play and so much spooky fun to be had, what are you and your child waiting for?
