What is IPEMA?
IPEMA is a non-profit, membership, trade association originally formed to represent and promote an open market for manufacturers of playground equipment and surfacing.
This year, IPEMA began an expanded initiative, called the “Voice of Play” to promote increases in the quality and quantity of children’s play. The goal of “Voice of Play” is to increase education and awareness about the many benefits of children’s play, including the development of critical cognitive, physical, emotional and social skills.
Quite literally, children learn through playing, and IPEMA members, many of whom are parents themselves, want to preserve play and playgrounds for our own children and future generations of children.
IPEMA has created this Web site to serve as a resource for anyone who wants to learn more about the many overwhelming benefits of play.
