One of the best parts of our job is highlighting all of the great work our members lead and contribute to each year. Recently, the International Play Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) and the Voice of Play asked our membership to help us feature some of their favorite projects. And WOW (!) did our membership respond – in full force – to this call for “great playgrounds” of all shapes and sizes. From the big city to small towns, our members have shared with us their most exciting, colorful and creative projects. These playground submissions span the globe and we hope they inspire families to visit a “great playground” in their community. We’ll be featuring these phenomenal pieces of work the rest of the year. Check out the first submission below!

Karls Adventure Park – Germany
Welcome to the world’s largest strawberry basket in Rövershagen, Germany, that is actually a playground! This sweet park provides kids with a chance to climb to the roof, a spin on the accessible rolli carousel and a tub slide to scoot down an incline. The new playground, completed in 2017, ensures a child’s safety with the application of ProPlay fall protection under artificial grass.
Parque las Madres – Nicaragua
Color is at play in this updated playground! It was a renovation of the old “las Madres” park in the capital city of Managua, Nicaragua and was completed in 2017 with ProPlay.
Club la Santa – Spain
Located in Spain’s Canary Islands, Club la Santa in Tenerife is a playground for the whole family, inspired by active play and natural elements. With kids in mind, the playground and mini golf course in the complex were newly surfaced with ProPlay for Playgrounds, ensuring safety in the shock absorbing layers under the artificial grass.
Thanks for sharing your special projects with us, Schmitz Foam Products!
